What is the Legal 500?

The Legal 500 is a guide to the best law firms and top lawyers across the world. The Legal 500 guide is widely acknowledged as the world’s largest legal referral guide.

The Legal 500’s recommendations are continuously updated to provide the most up to date information on the current legal market.

More than 300,000 buyers of legal services are surveyed and interviewed globally each year to ask for feedback about the lawyers they have worked with. This provides The Legal 500 with a comprehensive and independent list of law firms and lawyers who are ranked for their ability and performance.

The Legal 500 is an independent guide, and firms and individuals are recommended purely on merit. It is the only guide to truly reflect the needs of corporate counsel by focusing on the strength in depth of the teams (practice and associates) rather than simply list individual partners.

Our thoughts

This year marks the first year Legal Clarity has been recognised for its capabilities in employee ownership.

Our expert EOT team have now worked on over 45 employee ownership transactions and this trend shows no sign of slowing down.

Gary Davie joined the firm in 2019 and has already been recognised in The Legal 500’s report as being ‘’outstanding” for his capabilities in employee buyouts.

Gary acts as lead adviser on the majority of our EOT transactions, and as a trustee director including chairing the trust board of The 1:1 Diet Business (winner of Employee Ownership Business of the Year).

Drawing upon his experience in a whole range of approaches to employee ownership – MBOs, trusts and hybrid models – Gary has recently written an in depth guide on the different models of employee ownership to guide you to the right employee ownership structure for your business.
